In this very popular casino game the idea is to hold cards with a total score of nine. The means that the low numbered cards are important, not the high ones. In fact, A,.K,Q,J,10 all have zero value and the Ace is valued at 1. When you play, you can choose to bet either on your own hand (player = Punto) or on the banker's hand (banker = Banco). Baccarat is also called Punto Banco for this reason. A player can chose to be the banker, but then 5% of her winnings go to the casino as a commission.
Objective
You should get to a score of 9 before the banker, using 2-3 cards
If your score goes to two digits, such as 15, then only the 5 counts.
There is no situation called 'Bust'.
Baccarat Rules
• Both the player and banker get 2 cards to begin with.
• If the player gets 5 value or below, he can ask for a 3 rd card 'Hit'
• If the player gets 8 or 9 value, he cannot get more cards and must 'Stand' • When the player stands, and the banker has 5 or less, he can Hit.
